"out of memory"

Post by suzannah1 » Sun Mar 11, 2012 4:08 pm

Hello, your software has been a lifesaver for converting my echo images from DICOM to avi files for submission for an accreditation exam, but......after exporting 15 media clips ( with 60 more to go in this study and 3 more similarly sized studies), I'm getting an "out of memory" error message. I'm using Windows 7. I've just uninstalled and will download the program again but in case this does not work for more than the next 15 images please help  . Thanks Suzannah

Hi,
Just thought I'd mention that I too received the same "out of memory" errors on both win7 (64bit) AND winXP(32bit).

Any update on the memory management updates?

Thx!

I too have experience this issue.
I was able to trouble shoot it by performing the following algorithm.

1) Close MircroDicom
2) Open My Computer and access the CD/DVD with the "explore" option (right click)
3) Open the DICOM subdirectories to view the files on the CD/DVD
4) Make a copy of the offending file and place it on your Desktop
5) Open MicroDicom
6) Select File>Open>Desktop> IM (file)
7) Perform the export operation

*I did notice the method above fails if one tries to overwrite a previously named file, so make certain to provide it a new file name.
Best of luck.

JRaven, Thanks.
This defect is fixed in new version. This week will be a new version and you could try it.
